LifeSTEPS Executive Director Beth Southorn Shares Best Practices in Permanent Supportive Housing at the CCAH Fall Conference
From November 5–7, LifeSTEPS Executive Director Beth Southorn joined leading practitioners in affordable and supportive housing at the CCAH Fall Conference in San Diego. Held at Paradise Point, the conference gathered mission-driven organizations focused on strengthening housing access, stability, and long-term outcomes across California.
Beth served as a panelist for the session “Best Practices in Sustainability for Permanent Supportive Housing,” contributing LifeSTEPS’ perspective on the importance of high-quality, intentional supportive services in ensuring long-term resident success.
The panel was moderated by Michael Massie, EVP/Chief Development Officer, Jamboree, and included:
- AJ Galka, Assistant Vice President of Operations & Supportive Housing, National CORE
- Natalie Reider, Senior Vice President, Jamboree
- Courtney Richard, Senior Vice President – Property Management, National CORE
- Beth Southorn, Executive Director, LifeSTEPS
Together, the speakers explored operational and financial strategies essential to sustaining permanent supportive housing communities—especially those serving residents with higher acuity. Topics included long-term capital planning, cross-sector collaboration, property management alignment, and service models that promote housing stability, safety, and dignity.
A highlight of the conference was the opportunity for Beth to connect with partners in the field. Pictured here is Beth with Percy and Arjun from AMCAL Housing, longtime collaborators dedicated to expanding supportive housing statewide.
LifeSTEPS is proud to contribute to statewide dialogue on best practices and remains committed to designing and delivering sustainable supportive services that help individuals and families realize long-term stability and success.
