USA Properties Fund, Inc. Raises $85,000 for LifeSTEPS

Our heartfelt thanks to USA Properties Fund, Inc. President Geoff Brown for supporting LifeSTEPS at the DCA Partners Seventh Annual Villara Capital Cup in Sacramento yesterday. And congratulations to all 32 Sacramento business leaders who participated in the event, raising nearly $2.4 million for local charities.

“I’m so incredibly thankful for Geoff and his amazing team for raising more than $85,000 for LifeSTEPS through the Capital Cup,” said Beth Southorn. “These funds will help families in crisis, provide critical services to seniors to help them age in place, and create academic and sports scholarships for residents of affordable housing communities.”

Recognizing National Fall Prevention Awareness Week

Falls Prevention Awareness Week is September 20 to September 24, and LifeSTEPS Director of Social Services Sylvia provided senior residents at Camino Al Oro in Los Angeles with information focused on fall prevention and older adult disaster preparedness. For older adults living in LifeSTEPS communities across California, our Thriving in Place education and supports help our residents age in place safely and independently despite the social determinants of health issues facing low-income communities.

LifeSTEPS residents receive backpacks from USA Properties

LifeSTEPS resident Brendan from Terracina at Elk Grove absolutely loves his new backpack donated by the wonderful team at USA Properties! Brendan and many other students living at USA Properties apartment communities are grateful and excited to get back to the classroom with backpacks filled with pens, pencils, notebooks, markers, sharpeners and binders. This donation enables each student to have the supplies they need to succeed.
